Peter Petherbridge 


Peter began his career with the Hunter based D.F McCloy Pty Ltd in 1977 as an apprentice and was quickly promoted to foreman where he worked on a range of projects including the John Hunter Hospital and several Housing Commission Projects. Peter was then promoted to the position of Project Manager a position he held until the commencement of PDA Custom Constructions. Peter spent more than 10 years on the board of the Newcastle Master Builders Association in the capacity of Housing Chairman.

David Blake 


David also began his career as an apprentice with D.F McCloy Pty Ltd in 1980 and prior to leaving to commence PDA Custom Constructions held the position of Building Foreman managing many significant Department of Housing Projects. As well as Project Manager David’s principle role in the company ensuring that PDA Building is compliant with all WH&S regulations to AS4801.

Peter Squires

Site Manager

Peter Squires also began his career with D.F McCloy Pty Ltd and has since worked with PDA Building for over twenty five years. His commitment and extensive experience makes him a decided asset and valued member of PDA Building. Over this time Peter has overseen all of the company’s major commercial projects many of which have received awards from the Master Builders Association for excellence.


Tim Mott

Site Manager

Tim Mott has extensive experience in both the commercial and cottage industries commening he's career in 1996. Tim has obtained both a Certificate Three and Certificate Four in construction. Throughout his extensive career Tim has gained a critical awareness of the WH&S process which we consider invaluable in the current climate. Tim has been a valued member of our team for the past nine years.  


Brett Clarke

Site Manager

Brett Clarke was one of the first students in the State to ever receive an apprenticeship via work placement, after only two weeks of work experience Brett's ability was evident and he was offered a position as an apprentice by Don McCloy with the condition he obtained his School Certificate. Following a number of years with DF McCloy's Brett tried his hand manufacturing Bush Furniture. Over the next 20 years Brett was employed in the commercial building industry working for Belkin Commercial until there closure.  


Adam Petherbridge

Site Manager

Adam Petherbridge has been with PDA Building since leaving high school after which he completed a Building Apprenticeships in Carpentry and Joinery. Adam has since completed his Certificate IV in Building and Construction. 


Tom Liddell

Maintenance Manager

Tom Liddell has extensive experience in both the commercial and residential building industries. Tom completed he’s certificate 3 in building and construction through the Masters Builders Association in 2013. Tom joined PDA Building in 2015 as our Maintenance Manager.



Trade Sub Contractors 

PDA Building maintains a strong working relationship with all of its subcontractors some of which have worked in partnership with the company since its conception more than twenty Four years ago. Such positive working relationships ensure that our clients receive the best possible service on time and at the best price.
PDA Building encourages all employees to continue their education and training and as a consequence our team boast numerous Certificates of Attainment in various fields such as erecting and dismantling scaffolding, driving a heavy rigid vehicle, operating a material hoist etc. All PDA Building site staff have completed the St John’s First Aid Course.
